I’m an incoming PhD student in political science at Brown University.
I currently work at TransitMatters, where I lead work on modernizing Boston’s commuter rail system. Some topics that particularly interest me in this role are building state capacity to effectively execute investments, linking transit and climate goals in the public consciousness, and developing a pro-growth political coalition.
I’ve previously worked (or interned) for the United States Department of Transportation, in the Massachusetts Legislature, and as treasurer for Cambridge City Councilor Burhan Azeem.
My academic interests center around climate politics and green industrial policy.
I believe that the future is a policy choice. At the highest level, I’m interested in how we can make better choices that lead to higher, more equal living standards, and in the institutions that shape our abilities to make these choices. Read more about my interests and values here.
